MagnanimousGenerosity
1
What is the nature of the donations associated with the proposed project?
Anonymous donors have offered to retire the Club’s $1.9M debt as long as the Members of the Club are also willing to invest in significant improvements to the Club as well. The donors have only asked that the membership invests meaningfully in the club as well.
If the improvement plans include moving the tennis courts and enhancing holes 14, 15, and 16, then we have another in-kind gift of $1.5M towards the grading and site preparation work.
In addition, several anonymous members are pledging about $1M in support of this specific Be One project.
If you are considering making a “Legacy of Generosity” gift beyond the assessed amount, please contact Darwin Simpson at (864) 590-1874.
2
Are the debt retirement donations tied to a specific design or project?
No, but they are tied to a significant financial commitment by the members to improve the club. It is the Board’s responsibility to study and recommend the option they feel is best for the club.
3
Is there a minimum threshold the Membership has to agree to invest to receive the debt elimination gifts?
The donors have only asked that the membership meaningfully invest in the club as well.
